What we collect, and why
When you contact us
The website has no forms. When you email or phone us, or send an enquiry from a Boss Health page (which opens your own email app), we receive what you choose to send: usually your name, email address or phone number and your message. We use it to reply, arrange a consultation or appointment, and keep a record of what we discussed.
Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
Health information
Please keep your first message general. If you choose to tell us about your health, we treat it as special category data: we use it only to respond to you and plan any service you ask about, with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Information collected during a blood test or treatment is covered by the privacy information you are given at your appointment.
Booking a call with Joe
The contact page can show Joe’s booking calendar, provided by Calendly. It only loads when you choose to open it. Calendly then collects the details you enter to book, sets its own cookies and handles them under Calendly’s privacy notice. We receive your booking details to hold the call.
Website analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used, so we can improve the site. It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It records the page visited, the referring site, and your browser, operating system, device type and country. It also counts when certain links are used, such as an enquiry, email, phone or booking link and which treatment or test it related to, and when a booking is completed on the contact page; these counts carry no details about you. Visitors are told apart within a single day by a code made from the request that changes every day, so we cannot identify you and the data is not used to follow you across sites. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. See Vercel’s analytics privacy information.
Hosting and security
The website is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, it processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and keep the service secure, and may keep these in short-term logs.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookies come from Calendly, and only if you choose to open the booking calendar. Links to Instagram take you to Instagram, which has its own privacy policy.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your information. We use these service providers, who process it on our behalf or under their own terms:
- Vercel Inc. (website hosting and analytics)
- Google (our email, through Google Workspace)
- Calendly LLC (booking calls, only if you use the calendar)
These providers are based in the United States. Transfers are made under the UK’s data adequacy regulations (the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and booking details only for as long as we need them to respond, provide the service you ask for and meet any legal or accounting duties. If you don’t become a client, we delete your enquiry once it is no longer needed. Analytics data is held by Vercel in aggregated form.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask us to send it to you or someone else. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Contact us using the details above; we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
We will update this page if how we use your information changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
